Friends of the Ionian are developing one of the most comprehensive search engines for the Ionian islands of Corfu, Paxos, Lefkas (Lefkada), Ithaca, Kefalonia (Cephalonia) and Zakynthos (Zante). This search engine will hunt down the ideal resort and accommodaion to fit your individual requirements.
Personal Holiday Profiler will allow you to enter any number of conceivable requirements you might have for your holiday, from the type of prefered beach and whether it has shade, to the type of accommodation you need, be that a 2 bedroom apartment with childcare facilites, or a seven bedroom mansion in the hills.
The database will then perform a search through all information it has stored (Kefalonia has over 140 pages and nearly 50,000 words) to find the closest matches to what you asked for. You will then be able to review the beaches, resorts and top trips available to see if this suits your needs.
You will be able to search for accommodation and resorts across all the islands or just within an island, by price, by size, by its closeness to ancient sites or waterports facilties. Even if you're not looking for accommodation, you can still find your perfect resort or an area that you might find worth researching futher. No other search engine will be able to provide such a bespoke service. No two people's searches would ever throw up the same results.
Such a mammoth task will take Friends of the Ionian several months to complete. As each island is entered into the database so it will be included in your search results.
